—Post is a magazine my friends and I planned during our 3rd year in Elisava. Taking into account it was going to take the place of another magazine that was getting closed by that time (a publication that aimed to provide fresh information and news on the design field), the idea of —post was to offer contents created by the students. In order to do this, we proposed a system through which we would choose a trivial subject for each issue (almost randomly; subjects like hygiene, noise or horse racing) and then the participants would generate various contents, ranging from texts and image selections to entire projects that would be published in the magazine.
The example shown here is a mock-up. For this fictional issue, I worked under the subject
polysemy.
—Post
Magazine written, edited and published entirely by the students of Elisava.
According to the (low) budget, we planned to print the magazine using only two inks; black and green are the colours for this issue.
The contents page is printed on a transparent plastic sheet that overlaps with a picture by the Dutch photographer Rineke Dijkstra.
Picture by Inés Tarradellas, then printed in a Xerox machine, scanned and printed again.
Just as in the Parallel Performers book, this magazine has an agenda of activities. The images in this page work exactly as the text does: they are interrupted at the end of a text column and start again at the beginning of the next one.
The short news page layout imitates the form of an information graphic.
