Circunscrito was conceived as the cultural supplement of a high quality newspaper. Taking that into account, and the fact that it was necessary to reduce the paper amount to the minimum, we proposed a layout that could accommodate a lot of text and images without using too many pages (at the end, it would be eight) but without losing an elegant and interesting look. In order to get this we used in a very austere way the navigation elements such as rulers, page numbers, pieces, etc., focusing all the attention to the main text.

In this issue there’s an infographic that shows the connection between many stylistic elements of the film Metropolis and the art movements of that time.

It was condition that we had to include reserved spaces for advertising. These are shown here as black squares, as they can be seen in the photographs.
